He read tarot for years the way people read a weather report. Then a querent said "that is just a list" and left. He has not given a list since.

How she got here
He used to read like a weather forecast: chance of rain, things to watch for, good luck out there. Someone once heard him out and said, "That is just a list, isn't it," and left. He did not go after them. He laid the cards out again and realised he had never once asked what happened next.
What she actually does
- He reads the three cards as the start, middle and end of one sentence. If it does not hold, he swaps the order and reads it again.
- He looks for the place where it should have gone one way and went the other. That turn is what the reading is actually about.
What she will not do
- He will not give you a list. A list has no turn in it, and the turn is what he is after.
- He will not bend the cards to make the story better. When they refuse, he says there is no story this time.
- He will not put the conclusion first. He wants you to walk the whole way with him.
