Love tarot, read from where you stand
Most love questions are about someone else: do they feel it, will they come back, what are they thinking. A deck cannot see into another person. What it can lay out is your side — what you are holding on to, what you keep not saying, and where the next move actually sits. That is where most of what can change is.
How it goes
Write down what actually happened
Skip the summary of your feelings and start from the last concrete moment: the message left on read, the dinner that went quiet, the thing they said on the way out. A reading can only work with what is on the table, and one real moment gives it more than a paragraph about how things generally are.
Pick the spread by the shape, not the mood
For two people and a pattern you want to understand, Time flow: what is ending, what is holding things in place, and where it runs if nobody forces it. If friends, family or an ex are part of it, Horseshoe has a position for the others — how they are placed, not what they feel. If you are weighing whether to stay, Scales gives each side a card of its own.
Choose who reads it
The cards are the same whoever reads them; the lens changes. Mira looks for what is still working when everything else looks broken. Vera separates what is fact from what it costs. Thane will not soften what staying — or leaving — will keep costing you.
Ask back, and let it come back
After the reading you can put a follow-up question to the same reader. You can also set the reading to return in a few days and ask what actually happened. What you tell it goes into that reader’s memory — so the next time you ask about the same person, the reading starts from what happened, not from zero.

The same worry, asked two ways
| Instead of | Try | Why it reads better |
|---|---|---|
| Does he still love me? | What keeps me waiting for him to show it? | The first asks for someone else’s feelings, which the cards cannot see. The second is about you, and there is something to read. |
| Will we get back together? | If I stop waiting to hear from them, what changes for me? | A yes-or-no about a future event gets you a mood. A question with an action of yours in it gets you a situation the cards can describe. |
| Is she the one? | What do I keep overlooking because the rest is good? | "The one" is a verdict, and the cards do not hand down verdicts. What you are overlooking is something you can check tomorrow. |
| When will I meet someone? | What is making it hard for me to let someone in right now? | There is no calendar in a deck; any date you got would be invented. What is in the way is something you can do something about. |
Spreads and readers that suit it
Spreads
Most relationship questions: what is ending, what is holding, where it points.
Horseshoe 7 cardsWhen friends, family or an ex are part of it. The position for the others reads how they are placed, never what they feel.
Scales 2 cardsWhen you are weighing staying against leaving and keep collapsing the two.
Mirror 1 cardWhen you already know, and want it said out loud.
Readers
On the nights when it all looks finished. She looks for what is still working, and will not tell you to look on the bright side.
When you want the trade-off said plainly, before any comfort.
When you need the long-term price of staying, or of leaving, said without softening.
For the small ones, like whether to send the message. She takes a small question seriously enough to answer, and will not inflate it.
Cards that often carry the weight
Cards that often carry the weight in a love reading. Each note is the love section of that card’s own page.
Two of CupsTwo specific people, face to face. What you feel is the meeting itself, not a promise about later. Name what you want from them out loud. Silence at this stage is not mystery. It is an unread sentence. If you want the pairing, say so. If you want the lock, say that too.
The LoversYou are weighing one person against another, or one version of your life against this one. Stop calling that waiting. Pick, or say plainly that you are not picking. If you stay with someone, the third presence you both ignore keeps shaping the room. Name it out loud. Nothing here holds both halves open without something slipping.
The MoonYou are reading more into a silence than is there. Missing information, not a verdict. Ask one plain question instead of building a case. If you are the one holding back, say the ordinary thing you have been rehearsing. The road between you two is still a road, even when you cannot see the other person's face clearly.
Three of SwordsSomeone said something true. It landed wrong. You keep replaying the exact wording, trying to find where it turned. Stop looking for a softer version. The cut is the message. Say what you actually heard, out loud, once. If the other person denies it, the denial is also information.
Two of SwordsYou are holding two versions of the same person and refusing to put either down. That stalemate feels like caution. It is avoiding a sentence. Say the thing you keep drafting and deleting. Whatever answer comes back, you stop guessing, and guessing is the actual cost you are paying right now.
Eight of CupsYou have been carrying a feeling that no longer matches the room you are in. Eight of Cups at this stage says you already know. Stop negotiating with yourself about whether to stay. Leaving is not a verdict on the other person. It is you admitting the cup is empty and walking. Say it out loud to someone before you pack.
What people expect, and what happens here
| Often expected | Here |
|---|---|
| It tells you what they feel. | It reads your side: what you are holding, and where the lever is. What the other person feels is theirs, and the readers will not invent it. |
| It gives you timing — "they will text within two weeks". | No promised outcomes: the readers are instructed against them, and Vera turns down "when" outright. What you get instead is what would have to change. |
| Every reading starts from scratch. | Each reader remembers your earlier readings with them. When a card comes back, they say where it moved. |
| You can keep drawing until it says yes. | Past the third time on one question, the answers drift toward the one you want. The deck did not change — the asking did. |
Where it stops
If you are afraid of someone
If a relationship involves threats, control, violence or fear for your safety, tarot is the wrong tool, and the reader will say so plainly. Talk to someone you trust or a local support service — and if you are in danger now, contact emergency services.
It is not a verdict on another person
No reading can tell you whether someone is lying, seeing someone else, or coming back. Anything that claims to is guessing — and guesses about a person you love are the hardest kind to put down.
It does not replace the conversation
The most a reading can do is help you work out what you want to say. Saying it is still yours.
It is not therapy
The readers do not diagnose, and will not tell you that you have "attachment issues". If what you are carrying has become too heavy, a counsellor is the right person to talk to.
Questions people ask first
Can tarot tell me if someone loves me?
No — and a reading that says it can is guessing. The cards you draw reflect your side of the relationship; what another person feels is their own, and it lies outside your spread. What a love reading can do is show what you are waiting for, and what the waiting is costing you.
How many cards should I draw for a love question?
One card if you want a single angle, or already know and want it said. Time flow for most relationship questions. Horseshoe when other people are a big part of the situation. Scales when you are weighing staying against leaving.
Is a love tarot reading free?
A one-card reading is free for everyone, always, and your first reading needs no account. Spreads of two cards or more need an account.
Can I ask about the same relationship again?
Yes. The reader you asked before remembers that reading, and if a card comes back they will say what moved. What does not help is asking the same question again the same day — by the third or fourth time you are no longer reading the cards, you are choosing between answers.
Is a real person reading my cards?
No. The readers are AI personas with different ways of reading. Nobody is typing on the other end, and nothing is billed by the minute.

Worth reading first
How to word a question the cards can answer
The same cards yield very different readings depending on how you ask. Not because the deck is picky — because the question decides where an answer is allowed to land.
Six things tarot cannot answer
Without a stated boundary the rest is not credible. These six are limits written into the readers themselves, not a disclaimer.
Reversed does not mean opposite
The common shortcut — upright good, reversed bad, meaning flipped — is wrong on all three counts.
